Election Day prayer
My prayer for election day.
Dear Lord, You knew before time began whom You would appoint as our 45th president. You ordained that this person might be a tool of Your judgment, holy and merited, or a gift of Your mercy, wholly undeserved.
Like Israel of old, America today, is a life marked by pride, selfishness, murder, idolatry, hypocrisy, greed, lust and every form of moral perversion.
We as a nation have called evil good and good evil and have turned from Your face to our own treasured wickedness. We repent. We need You now, alone and together, as much as at any time in our fleeting history.
We ask for Your spiritual discernment endeavor to elect our next President, that You might direct our path, and that Your will might be done on this earth, as it is in heaven.
In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Prayer for Sunday
Before you go to bed, say a prayer for your pastor, your youth pastor, your worship team, the Sunday School teachers as they prepare to lead tomorrow. Pray for all who will walk through the doors and worship tomorrow. Pray for unity among the family as God is worshiped, and the Gospel is presented! Pray for lives to be changed and the Holy Spirit to move in the services!

Prayer request
Facebook friends, I want to ask you to take a moment and pray. Over time I have seen the power of prayer and know that God hears the prayers of His people. He listened to Abraham, Moses, and Elijah and He will listen to us if we pray:
"If you ask anything in my name, I will do it" - John 14:14
"And if you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer." - Matthew 21:22
"Whenever we ask anything according to His will, He hears us." - 1 John 5:14
"If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and heal their land." - 2 Chronicles 7:14-15
Please pray in the power of Jesus' name that God will listen to our prayers again today and provide healing where healing is needed. Ultimately we know that His will is greater than our will and that His way is greater than our way, but we also know that He relented when He had planned to bring disaster on Israel in Exodus 32. While this situation does not compare to that of Israel, we still pray that, if it is indeed His will, that He will relent in this case as well.
Thank you for praying and respecting our privacy during this time.

Adonai
In turning to God on His terms, you acknowledge that He is your Adonai, your master and owner. . . .You are essentially saying, “Lord, even as I seek to honor You with my life, I am trusting that You have my life in Your hands. Because You will take care of me, I can give myself fully to Your service and Your glory.”

Pray for missionaries
Use your fingers as memory aids when you pray for missions. Here's how fingers can be prayer reminders:
- Thumb
Since your thumb is nearest to you, begin by praying for those missionaries closest to you. They are the easiest ones to remember. C.S. Lewis said that praying for those we love is a "sweet duty." - Index or pointing finder
Let your "pointing finger" remind you to pray for missionaries who teach, instruct, and heal. This includes teachers, doctors, and evangelists. They need support and wisdom for pointing others in the right direction. - Middle finger
Our tallest finger reminds us of our church leaders. We can never pray too much for them. Pray for those who supervise and direct missionary outreach. - Ring finger
As any piano teacher will testify, the ring finger is our weakest finger. This weaker finger reminds us to pray for those missionaries who are discouraged, in trouble, or in pain. - Little finger
Our little finger is the smallest of the digits on our hands, which is where we should place our individual wants and desires in relation to world evangelism needs. The Bible says, "The least shall be the greatest among you." Let your pinkie remind you to pray for the people of the world who have the greatest need to find Jesus. Pray that they will open their eyes and see Him.

Pray for our nation.
Tonight the president is set to give his final State of the Union address. I can tell you the state of our union. Our nation is broken--it's broken morally; it's broken spiritually; it's broken politically; it's broken racially. The state of our union cannot be fixed unless we repent of our sins individually and ask our nation to do the same. I've just led a Decision America Tour prayer rally in the capital of Florida--#2 of 50! Now I'm on the way to Baton Rouge to pray with the people of Louisiana for their state and this nation tomorrow at noon. Mr. President, I hope in the time you have remaining in office that you will turn to God for wisdom and direction about how to lead this nation. May your last 12 months be the best and most beneficial for this country. "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord" (Psalm 33:12).
